The Complete TempWorks Integration Guide

Staffing agencies move people fast, and TempWorks is built for that pace. Benefits administration rarely keeps up when it is done by hand. Assignments start and end constantly, and every one of those changes is a benefits event that has to reach a carrier. Miss a few and you are looking at coverage gaps for placed workers and carrier invoices for people who are long gone.


Connecting TempWorks to Benefit Cloud automates that flow. Employee and payroll data moves straight to your benefits ecosystem, carrier feeds stay current, and your team stops re-keying assignment changes into portal after portal.


TempWorks provisions API access through your account team. Once enabled, you receive an Account SID and an Auth Token. Here is how to set it up.


Step 1: Contact TempWorks to Enable API Access


TempWorks API access is provisioned through your account team or the TempWorks partner portal. Access may require a separate agreement or enablement step, and your account manager can advise on the timeline.


  1. Contact your TempWorks account manager or TempWorks support.

  2. Request API access for a Benefit Cloud integration.

  3. TempWorks provisions an Account SID and Auth Token for the integration.

  4. If you already have API credentials, you can skip ahead to submitting them.


Step 2: Retrieve Your Account SID and Auth Token


The Account SID is your TempWorks API account identifier, and the Auth Token is your secret key. Treat the token like a password and keep both values secure until you submit them.


Step 3: Submit Your Credentials to Benefit Cloud


Submit the Account SID and Auth Token through the secure Benefit Cloud portal, where they are encrypted on submission. Benefit Cloud uses the TempWorks API in read-only mode to retrieve employee and payroll data for benefits processing. We do not modify records or write back to TempWorks.


What Happens Next

Benefit Cloud reviews and tests the connection, maps your data to your feed requirements, and confirms once the integration is active. Your data then syncs automatically going forward.
