The Complete Proliant Integration Guide

For HR teams running on Proliant (also known as ReadyPay), getting benefits data to carriers and vendors has historically meant a lot of manual work in between. Exports, reformatted files, SFTP uploads, and a constant worry that something was missed. It does not have to work that way.
Connecting Proliant to Benefit Cloud automates that entire flow. Once the integration is in place, your employee and payroll data moves from Proliant to your benefits ecosystem automatically, keeping carrier feeds current without anyone on your team needing to touch it.
One thing that makes Proliant different from other HRIS platforms: all API access is managed through your dedicated Proliant Account Manager rather than a self-service portal. That means your first step is a phone call or email, not a settings menu. This guide walks you through the full process.
Step 1: Contact Your Proliant Account Manager
Reach out to your Proliant Account Manager and let them know you want to set up an API integration with Benefit Cloud. They will initiate the API Request process on your behalf.
Call or email your Proliant Account Manager.
Tell them you need API access set up for an integration with Benefit Cloud.
Request that they begin the API Request process. If your Account Manager needs details about Benefit Cloud, share this guide or have them contact us directly at support@benefitcloud.io.
Proliant manages all API access centrally, so this step cannot be skipped. Your Account Manager is your primary point of contact throughout the process.
Step 2: Complete the API Request Form
Your Proliant Account Manager will provide an API Request form that needs to be completed. This form documents the integration requirements and authorizes API credential generation for your account.
Work with your Account Manager to complete the API Request form.
Provide any details they need about the integration, including that Benefit Cloud requires access to employee, payroll, and benefits data.
Submit the completed form as directed by your Account Manager.
Step 3: Receive and Review Your Credentials
Once Proliant approves the API Request, they will issue your credentials. Review them carefully and make note of the following:
Client Key: The API identifier used as the username when authenticating.
Client Secret: The secret paired with the Client Key. Store it securely.
Company ID: Your organization's unique identifier in Proliant's system.
Allowed Endpoints: The list of API paths Proliant has authorized for your credentials.
Proliant may also provide a data dictionary describing available API fields. If they do, please share it with the Benefit Cloud team as well. It helps us configure the integration accurately.
Step 4: Share Credentials with Benefit Cloud
Once you have your credentials, submit them securely through the Benefit Cloud portal at app.benefitcloud.io/resources/guides/integrations/proliant. All values are encrypted immediately on submission.
Log into the Benefit Cloud portal.
Navigate to Resources and select the Proliant Integration Guide.
Use the secure form to submit your Client Key, Client Secret, Company ID, allowed endpoints, and your Proliant Account Manager's contact information.
Submit the form. Benefit Cloud will confirm receipt and reach out with next steps.
Step 5: Integration Complete
Once credentials are submitted and verified, here is what to expect:
Benefit Cloud coordinates with your Proliant Account Manager if any additional configuration is needed.
Our team configures data mapping based on your feed requirements and the allowed endpoints.
You receive confirmation once the integration is live.
Data syncs automatically on your agreed schedule from that point forward.
