The Complete APS Payroll Integration Guide

APS Payroll gives midsize employers a unified payroll and HR system, and a unified system deserves a benefits process that keeps pace. When coverage changes live in APS but reach carriers by hand, the manual step is where a new hire misses enrollment or a departure keeps billing.

Connecting APS Payroll to Benefit Cloud automates that handoff. Employee and payroll information flows to your benefits ecosystem, carrier feeds stay current, and your team stops re-entering the same records.

APS grants integration access through your account team rather than a self-service developer portal. Once access is on, you share the relevant details and Benefit Cloud handles the connection. Here is how.

Step 1: Contact Your APS Account Team

APS provides API access through your account team, granted on approval. Provisioning may take a few business days.

  1. Reach out to your APS account manager or APS support.

  2. Request API or integration access for benefits administration with Benefit Cloud.

  3. APS issues API credentials or confirms the connection method once approved.

  4. Note any reference number they provide.

Step 2: Gather Your Connection Details

Collect what Benefit Cloud needs: your Company or Client ID, the account representative we coordinate with, any keys or logins APS provided, and the enablement reference number that speeds up confirmation.

Step 3: Submit Your Details to Benefit Cloud

Share those details through the secure Benefit Cloud portal, where they are stored securely. Benefit Cloud uses APS Payroll data in read-only mode to retrieve employee and payroll information for benefits processing. We do not modify records.

What Happens Next

Benefit Cloud can coordinate directly with your APS account team, tests the connection, maps your data to your feed requirements, and confirms once the integration is active. Your data then syncs automatically going forward.
